Hattie Elizabeth (Weston) Zachary

We have been charged in humbled submission to the will of God and the Zachary Family to carry out the final care and compassionate services for Mrs. Hattie Elizabeth Zachary. Mrs. Zachary, age 93 of 1300 Don Juan Road, Hertford, NC transitioned from this life suddenly,  just hours after spending special moments with her loving family on Christmas Day, December 25, 2018 at the Brian Center Nursing Facility, Hertford, NC. 

Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Hertford, NC with Rev. Dr. William M. Sawyer, Pastor and Rev. Jerry Zachary, delivering the eulogy. Her bed of rest will be in the Cedarwood Cemetery, Hertford, N.C. Viewing and Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. where the family will also receive friends during those hours. 

She leaves 93 years of love and legacy to her nine children; Keno W. Zachary (Denise) of Long Island, NY, Lionel C. Zachary (Brenda) of Harlem, NY, Barry L. Zachary (Debbie) of Miramar, Fl, Jerry L. Zachary (Edna) of Edenton, NC, Kathryn Z. Brothers (Andrew) of Elizabeth City, NC, Thea E. Belk (William) of Matthews, NC, Barbara E. Powell (Lance) of Hertford, NC, Janet L. McLaurin of Fayetteville, NC and Jan M. Zachary (Karen) of Edenton, NC; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great-great-great grandchildren, cousins and friends. 

Final Care and Compassionate Services are being provided to the Zachary and connected families by Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations, Elizabeth City.
