Our beloved, Floyd Johnson, age 63 of 1919 Evergreen Drive, Elizabeth City, NC, transitioned to be with the Lord on Friday, May 25, 2018 at his residence, surrounded by loving family and friends.
His life will be celebrated on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Community Church with Bishop Mack Freshwater, officiating. His earthly remains will lie in state one hour prior to the service.The family will receive friends at the home of the deceased. Floyd worked many years as a custodian in the Camden County School System.
He leaves to cherish his memories: wife, Carol T. Johnson, of the home; one son, Jamar Johnson of Elizabeth City, NC; one daughter, Tiffany Johnson of Rolesville, NC; seven sisters, Helen Banks, Ruth Jones, Ethel Banks, Granada Johnson, Mary Cooper, Beulah Brooks and Edna Brooks, all of Elizabeth City, NC; four brothers, Morris Johnson (Linda) and Kermit Johnson of New York, O'Neal Johnson (Samantha) of Hampton, VA and Warren Lee Johnson (Janet) of Elizabeth City, NC; three grandchildren; and a host of aunts. uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Final Care and Compassionate Services are being provided to the Johnson and connected families with love, care and uncompromising dignity by the Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations, Elizabeth City.
