Our beloved, Charlie Edward Taylor , age 70 of Greenville, NC formerly of Currituck, NC, departed this earthly life on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 3:51 a.m. at the Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, Chesapeake, VA. 

The dash between 1948 and 2018 will be celebrated on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Weeping Mary Church of Christ Disciples of Christ with Elder Marcus A. Etheridge, officiating. A final place of rest will be bestowed for Charlie in the Chatman Family Cemetery. Moments of Viewing and Meditation will take place on Friday, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m at the funeral home. The family will receive guest for moments of reflection at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Grizzell and Lindsey Barnard, 1211 Stacie Drive, Elizabeth City, NC. 

The quiet, happy and loving life of Charlie will be forever in the hearts of: his chilrdren, Tiffany L. Taylor of Greenville, NC, Dr. DeCarlos E Taylor of Middle River, Md and Dejanaire Blanks of Landover, Md; siblings, Grizzell Barnard (Lindsey) of Elizabeth City, NC, William Clarence Taylor (Adraine) of Elizabeth City, NC, Barbara Smith (Eugene) of Mt. Vernon, NY and Eugenia Taylor-Perkins (George) of Moyock, NC; one brother-in-law, Fredrick Ferebee; four grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
