Annie Marie Ferebee Dance, age 75 of Elizabeth City, NC, made her transition from this earthly life, to her heavenly home on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, with her loved ones surrounding her bedside.
Celebration of Annie's life will take place on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James A.M.E. Zion Church, 911 Park Street, Elizabeth City, NC. She will lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories: two daughters, Phyllis Spruill (Mack) and Minister Carllisa Johnson, of Elizabeth City, NC; two sons, Wilton Ferebee (Cathy) of Hampton, VA and George Dance (Sarah) of Buffaloe, NY; three sisters, Geraldine Ferebee of Manhattan, NY, Regina Spence (Valry) of Newport News, VA and Vivian Ferebee of Garysburg, NC; two brothers, Alvin Ferebee and William Ferebee (Annette) of Elizabeth City, NC; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
