Wendy Letitia Shannon

The End of Watch came for Wendy Letitia Shannon, age 49 of 102 Oakwood Court, Hertford, NC, as she transitioned from this life on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk, VA. 

A celebration of her life will take place on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the ECSU Fine Arts Complex, 1704 Weeksville Road, Elizabeth City, NC with Rev. Dr. Ricky L. Banks, officiating. Interment will follow with military rites in the Memory Gardens Cemetery. A viewing and visitation will take place on Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m at the St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 506 York Street, Elizabeth City, NC. 

She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Siera Mallory Rasmussen (Joshua) of Durham, NC and Jakia Shannon of Charlotte, NC; one son, Devin Shannon of Hertford, NC; mother, Rosa Sheard-Shannon of Hampton, VA; siblings, Tammy Shannon and fiancé ', Clinton Williams, of Elizabeth City, NC, Anthony Shannon of Elizabeth City, NC and Felisha Norman of Manteo, NC; one grandchild; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Final Care and Compassionate Services are being provided to the Shannon and Connected families, by Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations, Elizabeth City.
