Margaret Kearney Obituary

God closed those loving eyes of Margaret Battle Kearney of Elizabeth City, NC, and whispered Peace be Thine on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at her residence.

Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 1:00 in the sanctuary of the Samuel Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City, NC with Rev. Kevin Lighty, officiating. Interment will follow in the Overton/Walton Family Cemetery, Elizabeth City, NC. Her earthly remains will lie in state on Saturday from 12:00 noon until time of service.

She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Tina Proctor (Barry) of Warrenton, North Carolina and Rhonda Hudson, of California; two brothers, Larry Spellman (Selina) and Maurice Griffin; two nieces, Melissa Cooper and Yolanda Cooper; one nephew, Matthew Cooper (Julisa); and a host of other relatives and friends.

Final Care and Compassionate Services are being provided to the Kearney and connected families with love, care and uncompromising dignity by the Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations.
