Leamond Leon Carver, Sr.

Mr. Leamond Leon Carver, Sr., of 664 Crooked Run Road, Elizabeth City, NC, transitioned from this  life on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at his residence, surrounded by loving family and friends. 

Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Michael Barclift, Pastor and Rev. Calvin Billups, delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Friday, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Leamond Leon Carver, Jr., (Amy) at 100 Agape Way, Elizabeth City, NC. 

He leaves to cherish his memories: loving wife, Celestine Carver, of the home; two daughters, Donna Barnes (Walter) and Miyoshi Sawyer (Curtis) all of Elizabeth City, NC; one son, Leamond Leon Carver, Jr., (Amy) of Elizabeth City, NC; father, Leamond Carver of Elizabeth City; NC; five brothers, Melvin Carver, Lester Carver (Victoria), LeClinston Carver, Bradford Carver (Faye) and Darryl Carver (Cassandra); five sisters, Lucy Simms, Bernice Eason, Theresa Sessoms (Paris), Rita Banks (Wilbert), Bernadette Griffin (Dempsey); seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Final Care and Compassionate Services are being provided to the Carver and connected families by, Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations.
