Joseph Eason Wobbleton, Sr.

Mr. Joseph Eason Wobbleton, Sr., age 83 of 2287 Caratoke Highway, Moyock, NC, transitioned from this life on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. 

Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Moyock Assembly of God, Moyock, NC with Pastor David Baldwin, officiating. He will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Williamston, NC. 

He leaves to cherish his memories: loving wife, Lydia T. Wobbleton of the home; children, Joseph E. Wobbleton, Jr., (Barbara) of Walterboro, SC, Rhonda Harris of Kingsland, Ga, Towanda D. Payne (Bill) of Knoxville, TN, Dannie Lee Pace of Tarboro, NC, Mary Adams (Jim) of Chesapeake, VA, Laurie Ann Morse (Donnie) of Belvidere, NC, Mack V. Jones (Jennifer) of Mt. Olive, NC, Anette Marshall of Roanoke, Va and Andrea Moss of Hertford, NC; one sister, Mildred Cherry of Williamston, NC; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents, siblings and one son. 

Final Care and Compassionate Services are being provided to the Wobbleton and connected families by Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations, Elizabeth City, NC.
