Edith Hillion (Stokley) Gregory

Mrs. Edith Stokley Gregory, 76 of 1740 Lobell Lane, Elizabeth City, NC, transitioned from this life on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late John Henry Stokley and Helen Hinton Stokley. She was the wife of Floyd Gregory, Sr.

Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Open Door Christian Fellowship Church, South Mills, NC with Rev. Joseph E. Thompson, officiating and Rev. Calvin Billups, delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Memory Gardens Cemetery, Elizabeth City, NC. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Kelly (Nakia) Gregory, 110 Terri Lynn Way, Elizabeth City, NC.

Besides her husband, she leaves to cherish: one daughter, Cherelle Brown of Elizabeth City, NC; five sons, Anthony Williams (June), Glenn Gregory and Kelly Gregory (Nakia) of Elizabeth City, NC, Dwayne Gregory of Tampa, Fl and Darryl Gregory (Alice) of Tulsa, Ok; siblings, Celestine Carver (Leon) and Renzie Stokley (Margaret) of Elizabeth City, NC; brother-in-law, William H. Gregory of South Mills, NC; sister-in-law, Madeline Williams of Elizabeth City, NC; twenty-two grandchildren, host of great-grandchildren, nieces nephews, cousins and friends.
