Booker Thomas McCullen, Jr.

Mr. Booker Thomas McCullen, Jr., affectionally known as "Boone", age 77 of 504 Everett Drive, Elizabeth City, NC, transitioned from this life on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Kindred Care of Elizabeth City. 

Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, Elizabeth City with Rev. Dr. Ricky L. Banks, officiating. Interment will follow in the Westlawn Cemetery, Elizabeth City. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Darlene Beasley, 703 West Cypress Street, Elizabeth City, NC where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral procession. 

​Boone was known mostly for his shoe technician business, Crank's Shoe Repair, in Elizabeth City, NC. He leaves behind a legacy to share in his memories: loving wife, Catherine Beasley McCullen, of the home; daughters, Patricia Beasley, Verna McCullen, Gloria Silver (Nathan), Gayle McCullen and Darlene Beasley, all of Elizabeth City; one son, Troy McCullen (Rhonda) of Elizabeth City; brother, Willie John McCullen of Fayetteville; sister, Dorothy Mullen of Arlington, VA; and a host of sister and brother-in-laws; seventeen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Final Care and Compassionate Services are being provided to the McCullen and connected families by Mitchell Funeral Care and Cremations, Elizabeth City.
