America Gallop, Jr.

Mr. America Gallop, Jr., age 85 of Elizabeth City, NC, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. 

Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church, Camden, NC. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. A viewing will take place at the funeral home on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the home of his daughter and son-in-law. Melody and George Brackett, 1000 Azalae Trail, Elizabeth City, NC. 

He leaves behind a legacy: wife, Isabell Gallop of Elizabeth City, NC; children, Diane Gallop of Ft. Pierce, Fl, Frederick Gallop of Camden, NC, Olivia G. Evans and Melody Brackett (George) of Elizabeth City, NC; two sisters, Rosa Burnham of Elizabeth City, NC and Emma McMillian of Shiloh, NC; one sister-in-law, Lucille Gallop of Elizabeth City, NC; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
